The New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) is pleased to announce FAIR, built in partnership with Artlogic. FAIR is a new art fair initiative designed to be entirely online, function cooperatively, and act as a benefit for NADA’s community of galleries, nonprofits and artists. Taking place May 20–June 21, 2020, FAIR will directly support 119 NADA Gallery Members and 81 other galleries that have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, totaling nearly 200 galleries around the world.
FAIR offers an alternative profit-sharing model, structured to facilitate mutual support within the art community and provide revenue to each of its participants during a time in which galleries have temporarily closed their physical locations. A percentage from each sale made from FAIR will directly benefit all participating galleries and artists. In addition, a percentage of each sale will go towards supporting NADA for their efforts in producing FAIR, their continued work as an organization for art galleries, through this time of crisis and beyond.

Quaresma experiment with materials that allow her photographs to be sensorial and playful, pushing the boundaries of photography as a flat surface. Using images from her personal photo archive she elaborate on the idea of displacement and identity. The painted lines over the images break the perfection of the camera and bring the hand gesture to the foreground, questioning photography’s rigid assertion of objectivity. The artist uses her fascination for the ocean as a place of discovery. Alice explores the ludic world of photography experimenting with the condition of a work in progress, bringing less rational qualities to her photographs.

Contemporary German photographer Michael Wesely has made a name for himself by expanding the idea of the photographic exposure to the point where time itself seems to be what is being captured. Using a large format camera with exposures measured in days, weeks, months or years.
Given the simple construct of a week-long exposure combined with a variety of flower types and colors he has produced a surprisingly varied body of work. What sounds mundane is anything but; each bouquet performs a unique lyrical dance as the flowers slowly swoon and wilt.

Ignacio Gatica is part of the first generation of artists to observe the adverse reaction of the 1970s neoliberal experiment in Chile in its 21st Century form. You Can Do It, We’d Like To Help presents a perspective on the elements that constitute the memory and iconography of the financial ideology. The project borrows its name from an eighties slogan of the American multinational financial services VISA. You Can Do It, We’d Like To Help reflects on the idea of progress and modernization in the field of public policies through establishing relations between text, image, object, and the automated gesture of swiping.
