About the artists:

 

Claudia Jaguaribe, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Its production is characterized by an intense plastic research that uses different media to deal with diverse issues of contemporary photography. In 2010, Claudia received the Marc Ferrez photographic prize from Funarte for the project O seu camino. He has eleven books published. His works are in the collection of important institutional collections, as of Inhotim, MG; Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo (MAM) SP; Pirelli Collection of the São Paulo Art Museum (Masp) SP; Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris; Istituto Italo-Latino Americano (iila), Rome; Itaú Cultural, SP; Figueiredo Ferraz Institute, Ribeirão Preto SP; as well as in private collections.

 

Lina Kim, São Paulo, Brazil. Lives and works in Berlin. He studied art at the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation in São Paulo, Arts Students League in New York. Participated in the Biennials of São Paulo, Kwangju and Havana with facilities. In shows such as Focus Istanbul: “Urban Realities”, Martin Groupius Bau (Berkin 2005), “Lugar No”, Instituto Moreira Sales (Rio de Janeiro 2013), “Fototrier” Stadtmuseum Simeonestift (Trier 2010), “At Home” the Columns Gallery (Seoul, 2014). Works with site specifics, drawing, photography and video.

 

Gilvan Barreto, Pernambuco, Brazil. His work focuses on political, social, and man’s relationship with nature. His photography is heavily influenced by cinema and literature. In 2014 he won some of the most important awards in Brazil, such as the Brazil Photography Prize, the Marc Ferrez Prize, the Conrado Wessel Art Prize and the artists selected by the Itaú Cultural Rumos program. He is the author of the books Suturas (independent, 2016), Sobremarinhos (independent, 2015), The Book of the Sun (Time of Image, 2013) and Moscouzinho (Tempo D’Imagem, 2012). In addition to being an organizer and co-author of the cd-book Orquestra Pernambucana de Fotografia. He has works in private and institutional collections, such as Porto Seguro / Brazil Photography Prize, São Paulo Cultural Center and Itaú Cultural.

 

Michael Wesely, Munich, Germany. He studied photography at the Bayerische Staatslehranstalt fPhotographie, graduating from the Munich Academy of Fine Arts. Participated in several international exhibitions, including the 25th Bienal de São Paulo. Pioneer in long exposure photography, among which the most famous images are those of the reform of Potsdamer Platz in which the exhibition extended for two years. Wesely also photographed the enlargement of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, images that are now part of the museum’s permanent collection. Currently participated in exhibitions in the new IMS of Avenida Paulista and MASP-SP
